An izakaya serving yakitori I would totally recommend. As I remember, we were looking for some other restaurant when we found this place, and what a find!
From outside it looked pretty cosy inside. I didn’t keep my hopes up though as it seemed to have only bartop seating. Not possible with my kids then. But as things go in Japan, the people there were really nice. Nice enough to give us the only tabletop seating they have.
The food was spectacular. After death by sushi on most days, it was a welcome experience to sit down for some yakitori. I usually do not like tare on my yakitori because it’s overly sweet. That was not so. It was complex, sweet but savory. To definitely try if in Nagoya.
